SLA-12K Linear Actuator

The SLA-12K linear actuator is a heavy duty electric linear actuator designed for high thrust,
harsh working environments and reliable linear motion control. With a maximum thrust of up to
12000 N / 1200 kg / 2700 lbs at 6 mm/s, it is widely used in doors, windows, cellars, trapdoors,
hatchways, solar tracking systems, medical devices, agricultural machinery, vehicles, ships,

Operation

Simple DC Polarity Control

The SLA-12K linear actuator can be controlled by changing the polarity of the DC power supply.

When the brown power wire is connected to the positive pole of the DC power supply and the blue power wire
is connected to the negative pole, the stroke rod extends outward. When the power polarity is reversed,
the stroke rod retracts inward.

The actuator has two built-in limit switches. When the actuator is fully retracted or fully extended,
it will stop automatically to protect the mechanism and the motor.

Wiring Direction

  • Brown wire to DC positive pole: actuator extends.
  • Blue wire to DC negative pole: actuator extends.
  • Reverse the power polarity: actuator retracts.
  • Built-in limit switches stop movement at both end positions.

The following example shows the standard 300 mm stroke version. Stroke and retraction length can be adjusted
during production according to customer requirements.

Limit Switch Adjustment

The SLA-12K has two built-in limit switches. When the actuator is fully retracted or fully extended,

Custom Length Notes

  • The specified stroke must be less than the standard stroke of the ordered actuator.
  • The specified retraction length must be less than the standard retraction length of the ordered actuator.
  • Changing the stroke or retraction length may affect the effective travel range.
Example: If the standard stroke is 300 mm and the specified stroke is 280 mm, the retraction length can be
reduced from 500 mm to 480 mm. You may also choose to retain the original 500 mm standard retraction length.
Example: If the standard retraction length is 500 mm and the specified retraction length is 475 mm, the
effective stroke will be reduced accordingly to 275 mm.
