power is unavailable.
Wide Application Range
The SLA-12K linear actuator is suitable for many types of electrical equipment requiring reliable linear movement.
Simple DC Polarity Control
The SLA-12K linear actuator can be controlled by changing the polarity of the DC power supply.
When the brown power wire is connected to the positive pole of the DC power supply and the blue power wire
is connected to the negative pole, the stroke rod extends outward. When the power polarity is reversed,
the stroke rod retracts inward.
The actuator has two built-in limit switches. When the actuator is fully retracted or fully extended,
it will stop automatically to protect the mechanism and the motor.
Wiring Direction
- Brown wire to DC positive pole: actuator extends.
- Blue wire to DC negative pole: actuator extends.
- Reverse the power polarity: actuator retracts.
- Built-in limit switches stop movement at both end positions.
SLA-12K Linear Actuator Stroke and Installation Length
The following example shows the standard 300 mm stroke version. Stroke and retraction length can be adjusted
during production according to customer requirements.
| Parameter | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Stroke | 300 mm | Standard stroke for this example. |
| Retraction Length | 500 mm | Center distance between two mounting holes when fully retracted. |
| Extension Length | 800 mm | Center distance between two mounting holes when fully extended. |
Limit Switch Adjustment
The SLA-12K has two built-in limit switches. When the actuator is fully retracted or fully extended,
it stops automatically. The limit switch position can be adjusted during production to meet
customer-specified stroke and retraction length.
Custom Length Notes
- The specified stroke must be less than the standard stroke of the ordered actuator.
- The specified retraction length must be less than the standard retraction length of the ordered actuator.
- Changing the stroke or retraction length may affect the effective travel range.
reduced from 500 mm to 480 mm. You may also choose to retain the original 500 mm standard retraction length.
effective stroke will be reduced accordingly to 275 mm.

Load Selection Notes
- The above load data is based on vertical operation conditions.
- For applications such as cellar doors, actual actuator force may be 2-5 times the door weight depending on installation geometry.
- Different speeds have different maximum loads. Select the correct speed based on both speed and load requirements.
- The maximum pulling force is slightly lower than the maximum pushing force.
Service Life Recommendations
- Continuous operation under maximum load is not recommended.
- For longer working life, we recommend working at about half of the maximum load.
- For strokes greater than 500 mm, avoid operating at maximum stroke under heavy loads.
- If the required actual stroke is 600 mm, choosing a 700-800 mm actuator is recommended.

helping reduce energy consumption and simplify system maintenance.
Why Choose Electric Linear Actuation?
- Lower power consumption compared with many hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
- No hydraulic oil leakage risk.
- No compressor or hydraulic pump required.
- Cleaner and more compact system structure.
- Simple DC power control.
- Easy integration with controllers and feedback systems.

How to Select the Right SLA-12K Configuration
To choose the proper actuator, please confirm the load, speed, stroke, installation method and control requirements.
Confirm Load and Installation
Provide the equipment weight, movement direction, mounting position and installation geometry.
Actual actuator force may be higher than the equipment weight depending on the lever structure.
Choose Stroke and Speed
Select the required stroke length and movement speed. Higher speed versions have lower maximum thrust,
so speed and load should be selected together.
Select Voltage and Control
Confirm 12V or 24V power supply, feedback requirement, cable length, connector type and whether
synchronous operation is needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
